I'm a long time resident of the city of Aurora. I understand the Canadian railway corp. has proposed an acquisition of the EJ&E railway line. I also understand that hazardous and other chemicals will be hauled along this line.I along with many others are raising families in the area that will be affected by this acquisition and in keeping with the area remaining environmentally friendly, object to this acquisition.Not only will the increase in train traffic become a safety concern for many children who play in the numerous parks and fields along the railway but the increase noise will also negatively affect the area. Although I could learn to adjust to the added vehicular congestion the added trains will cause, my main concern is for the safety of our children and the environment. I propose that a thorough environmental safety study be conducted and if their is any chance the residence of this area will be at risk that this acquisition be immediately canceled. I trust your company will work with city officials in Aurora concerning this matter.
