A significant increase in traffic on this railway would cause undo hardship and an unjustified increase in danger. There is currently 1 high school and soon-to-be a 2nd high school to the west of the tracks. There are more students that will attend these high schools from the east side of these tracks. Not only is there the danger associated with thousands of high schools students driving over these tracks everyday (at may different crossroads), but the increase in train traffic, along with the current car traffic, would cause catostrophic traffic delays and traffic build ups in roads and at intersections that cannot handle that kind of traffic. For example, Montgomery road in Aurora, with the few trains per hour that pass there now, it just about causes gridlock. In addition, a nearby hospital (Rush Copley) would be out of reach" for many of this community in an emergency. Do you have any idea how long it takes for a 100 car, slow moving freight train to go by? Can you imagine having 5 or 8 of these per hour? Not to mention these tracks run parallel to many residential neighborhoods. Can you imagine trying to get any sleep while listening to these trains go by multiple time an hour all through the night? We already have a disrupted sleep due to the trains that go through now. To increase that railway traffic would be unfair, unsafe and make it virtually impossible for residents to go about their normal lives. There would be no "normal". Because of commutes, people will have to give up their jobs and businesses will lose empoyees. This really would be a huge mistake. Not, just for some small area, but for many towns & communities all along the tracks. I respectfully request that you deny the purchase to the Canadian Railroad Co. Thank you."
