1. I strongly oppose the acquisition of the EJ &E Railway by CN. 2. I strongly encourage the STB to include in this EIS a comprehensive risk assessment that includes a disclosure by CN of its intented cargo changes. Currently EJ&E primarily transports coal. 3. CN proposes to increase our abilities to better serve our customers." This statement says nothing. What specifically will they actually do (differently than EJ&E) to "better serve" these customers? New cargo? Decreased cost to this railroad carrier does NOT better serve anyone's needs but their own. 4. We have been told that RR congestion and resulting changes to traffic congestion throughout the Chicago area will be reduced by allowing train re-routing. However, it is NOT the responsibility of other communities (i.e. Barrington) to absorb this congestion on behalf of the entire Chicago-area population. This congestion should be wide-spread evenly to be shared by all."
