Increased rail traffic on the EJ&E rail line caused by the purchase by CN RR raises several concerns for me as a resident living only blocks away from the rail line. Increased traffic congestion on surface roads in an already congested area will not be pleasant. Increased air pollution from locomotive engines is a concern. Trains hauling hazardous materials is also a huge concern. Quite zones need to be established to avoid loss of sleep by residents in the adjacent neighborhoods caused by needless horn sounding. The proposed star line" commuter line will be in jeopardy as the majority of the rail line is a single track. As a resident living only blocks away from the rail line, I oppose the purchase of the EJ&E by CNRR."
