Comment EI-4859

Received or sent (printed as 2/1/2008)

The horns from the trains at the Aurora Eola train yard (running east-west)area are awful. They blast so loud AND LONG!! that it is not pleasant to sit on our patio in the summer. In the evening it is hard to fall asleep listening to them. In the early morning the horns wake us up hours before we want to get up. This kind of noise pollution will only be worst if the railroad is allowed to pass through the neighborhoods in the Aurora-Naperville area. Use of the EJ&E lines should not be used to further pollute our residential areas. If something can be done about the horrific train horns used on the Burlington route from Aurora to Naperville that go east-west perhaps it would help.
