I am writting to comment on the Canadian National's purchase of the EJ & E railroad that runs through our community, Frankfort, Illinois. My particular concern is that there does not seem to be any co-ordination between governmental agencies. Harlem Avenue is due to be re-designed and widened in the near future. Harlem is the major north/south artirial road in our area that crosses the EJ & E tracks near our home. If grade separation is required at Harlem Avenue due to the proposed sale, should you not advise the Counties of Cook and Will not to proceed with the widening of the road until your review is done? While I have other concerns regarding the sale, increased noise and pollution from the increase in trains running on the tracks that abbut my yard, you need to be aware of this road improvement project. Please do not let the counties make their improvements based on faulty data regarding the number of trains that are going to be using the tracks in the future +/- 28 verses the number using the tracks today +/- 6. Thank you for your attention to this matter. GJB.
