We are opposed to the EJ&E merger which would result in increased train volume through the Barrington area. We are in a new subdivision about a block from the train crossing of Penny road near Route 59. Currently, the blasting train horn awakens us at all hours as it passes our neighborhood 7-10 times a day.We will not tolerate any more train traffic. Further, we would like to petition for the existing trains to build an underpass or other sound barrier. It is a terrible nuisance to our new neighborhood of over 300 residences.
