I am pleading with you not to permit the purchase of the EJ&E by CN. If purchase allowed to take place the safety of many will be at risk and no one wants see an increase in injuries and death do to increased rail traffic in residentail areas. There are too many outdated crossings without gates, the the rail line was constructed over 100 years ago for lighter rail traffic (not the anticipated 500-700% increase in rail traffic), the viaducts and overpasses would need upgrading to be safe, there are schools and playgrounds in close proximaty..putting our kids at risk, our emergency services (fire & polioce) would be delayed by the long waits at crossings and this could cause people to die from lack of immidiate responders. Besides the safetyu issues, the environmental concerns are also extremely important, like; noise, vibration, pollution, traffic congestion, and effects on wildlfe. Please take all the citizen feedback seriously. The safety of our comminty is at stake!!!!!
