Re: Canadian National-Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway” proceeding in STB Finance Docket No. 35087. Our family has lived in Barrington for the past 25 years. Over that time we have obviously seen many changes in our community-some good and some bad. I think most people would prefer to not have things change and ideally that would be a nice outcome in this case, namely, no additional trains. But I acknowledge that it not a likely outcome and improving the flow of train traffric through the greater Chicago area is a desirable outcome as well. However, Barrington is largely a bedroom community where people are rushing to the train station to get to work, parents are concerned about getting their kids to school on-time and from time to time people are rushing to the hospital for some type of medical issue. All of these day-to-day activities are going to be hugely and adversely impacted by the significant increase in local train traffic. I do not think any type of overpass/tunnel arrangement is feasible either physically or economically. So all I am asking is that the communities well-being/viability be taken into account so that a reasonable compromise can be established among all constituents. Thank you.
