Regarding STB Finance Docket No. 35087 - I commute across the effected tracks every day to and from work and when going virtually anywhere in my town. The additional freight traffic created by CN's purchase of the EJ&E line would substantially impact me personally, and my entire community and nearby communities -- as we all cross these same tracks daily. We are the 2nd largest city in Illinois (although no scoping meeting was held here!), and this line has numerous crossings without over or underpasses. Traffic during peak times in the morning and evening would be made substaintially worse than it currently is, with absolutely no benefit to offset it. The additional noise created in the subdivisions near the tracks would lessen property values--again, with no offsetting benefits anywhere in the community. This should all be considered in the scope and breadth of the impact study.
