I am writing this comment on behalf of my family that lives in the Heritage Lakes Estates. We are directly affected by this proposal. I have many concerns and feel that if this sale were to happen, our quality of life would suffer greatly. When we bought our house about 8 years ago there were only a small number of trains that visited our tracks on a daily basis. Within time, that number has risen to 18 a day. If you don't live here, that may not seem like a lot. But when you live here it is a tremendous amount of noise and inconvenience. Even on some of the nicest days we have to have our windows shut because if you are watching t.v., you can't hear anything while the horn is blowing and the train is passing. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have 42.6 trains pass our backyard every day with this kind of turmoil. The property value of our homes would almost certainly crash. Who would knowingly move into that kind of environment...not me or my family. What would happen in the event of an emergency with equipment and personnel not being able to reach us in a timely manner if they should be stuck on the other side of the rail road tracks during a 15 minute train delay. It could be the difference between life and death. We have invested a lot of time and money into our home and where we live, please do not allow this proposal to pass. Thank you for hearing our concerns.
