Regarding STB Finance Docket No. 35087 - Canadian National Railroad (CN) bid to purchase the Elgin, Joliet, & Eastern Railway Company (EJ&E): Since I have become aware of CN's desire to purchase EJ&E, a line that passes adjacent to the condominium community where I live, I have become aware of the number of times I must cross over EJ&E tracks in my daily commute to and from work (substitute teacher) and other routine trips to the grocery store, doctor, shopping, etc., in the immediate and surrounding communitites If CN is allowed to purchase EJ&E, the increased freight traffic of 20+ freight trains per day - an average of 1 per hour - will leave only a brief window to pass through a series of track crossings and will result in constant automobile traffic congestion. I will be sitting at a railway crossing most of the day! At night, I will be awakened hourly when the train passes my condo, wreaking havoc on my life and that of my neighbors. Please consider the environmental impact on the community of Barrington and the surrounding area. We have everything to lose and nothing to gain if the purchase is allowed to go through. Thank you. Inez Roberts, a very concerned resident
