Gentlemen: Regarding the Canadian National railway purchase of the EJ&E rail line and the rerouting of the C.N. is not a good idea for this area. (Barrington, Illinois) Delays at major highway crossings especially at rush" hour would be terrible. 100's or possibly more cars waiting at crossings would be a waste of gasoline and icrease air pollution. The rail line divides Barrington from the local hospitaland could cause serious problems for someone trying to there in an emergency. The additional rail traffic noise would dgrade the community. Children's safety is a concern. The area has suffered a deadly train/bus accident already. These problems cover many communities in this area not just Barrington. Thank you C. R. Foster"
