Phillis I have lived in my home for 14 years which is next to the E&J rail tracks . When we purchased our home there were about 2 or 3 trains per day . Note it has been this way for 14 yearsnow. Since the rail offer there have been around 10 to 12 traines per day and to tell you the truth it is quite umbearable, I can,t imagine 20 to 24 traines per day.I know their people in Chicago who deal with the same amount of traines per day , but during development of the city of Chicago its residences and rail lines ,they all grew together. When someone purchased a home in the city they knew what they buying if they were near rail traffic, and made a decision based on that. Out here in the suburbs everything was developed with no rail traffic, to the extent of what is being proposed, towns ,roads ,school systems, housing , shopping , and busisnesses have all been developed with a minimal amount of rail traffic . What is being proposed would dramaticcaly affect the area and my home and lifestyle as well as the other several thousand people in my same situation who live along the E&J rail line Thank you for your time and for talking to me at the Barrington meeting.
