My home, purchased 4 years ago, backs up to the EJ&E rail line. I respect that this purchase may help rail traffic in general, but it will devastate a very vibrant community that is one of the wealthiest zip codes in the country. If the purchase is approved I feel that it is the STB's job to ensure that proper berms or walls are built to surround the tracks, train schedules be determined by traffic patterns that already exist, above ground crossings be built, and traditional horns be swapped for the quieter types being used in Mundelein, IL.
