I am writing in reference to the proposed acquisition of the EJ & E Rail line by the Canadian National Railroad (CNR). It was in the press last week that Canadian National Railroad is proposing to acquire this train line to be used as a bypass for moving cargo from the southern Illinois / Indiana to Wisconsin. If approved, I feel the increase in freight train traffic will not only impact noise levels for local residents but will increase congestion on our key north south routes Rt. 83, Gillmer and Old McHenry roads which are already overburdened with congestion. Please do not allow an increase in freight traffic through this area. Thank you
