As a property/home owner near the EJ&E railway being proposed for acquistition by CN, I want to express my concerns. The SW coridor of Naperville, Plainfield, Oswego, and SE Aurora will all be adversely affected by this acquisition. This area continues to be a high growth and development area and the future property values will be impacted negatively with the sale. This would come in the way of up to 4-5 times the number of daily trains, noise, vibration, traffic safety and congestion, school bus and student safety, pollution, and emergency vehicle access. Also, the future use of the north and south tracks parallel with Rt 59 was supposed to be for feeder route and sub station use near Rt 30 for Metra train access at the Rt 59 station, alleviating parking issues there, and ongoing traffic issues along Rt 59. It would appear that the plans for that feeder station will have to be eliminated if this acquistion goes through. Please take these concerns into consideration with your scoping meeting analysis, and do not approve of this sale. Thanks for your consideration.
