CN reports that they are working on reducing the screeching of wheels on curved sections. I live South of Lake Cook and north of Otis Road crossings. I live 250 feet from the tracks - the noise has increased tremendously since CN has started running their trains. I was told during the initial meetings that there would be some change in the curves and that the wheels would be lubricated to reduce this- this has not happened.
