Please help with the train noise during the night. I live one mile west of the Renwick road CN rail crossing in the Plainfield Il. Township. Train traffic in this area has recently increased significantly and it is not uncommon for the train horns to blow steady from 2:30 to 4:00 at night. There are gates and lights at this crossing. However, I have been told that barriers are required. The is not a good answer" as there are numerious crossing, with the same situation only, more vehicle traffic and these crossing have been designated a "quiet zone". Example of this is Wolf RD. rail crossing in Naperville. The only significant difference is that is crossing is in an area of half million and up homes, so these people are accomodated. Three hours of steady train horn in the middle of the night is wrong/noise pollution! This horn noise is upsetting our lifes and health."
