Re: Docket #35087 The STB is now the only thing between communities along the EJ&J RR and Canadian National who wants to buy it. Railways may become important modes of transportation in the 21st century, but 19th or 20th century regulations are no longer adequate in protecting communities, families, children against large multi-billion dollar railroad companies. I and hundreds of others live a quarter mile from the EJ&E which surrounds us on 3 sides. The value of my home of 15 years will drop considerably, and no one will buy it. My family's safety, livelihood and well-being are at stake. Again, I ask that the STB do the right thing for the families here in the US. DON'T APPROVE THIS PURCHASE. My town will become an industrialized ghost town, and I will be one of the few people left as I will be unable to sell my home due to severe traffic congestion, noise pollution, danger to the water supply should there be a train accident, placing all our children in danger as they cross RR tracks 4, 5 and 6 times a day going to school, blocking access to our business and grocery story, commuter train station, library, post office. There will no longer be a town left---just a wasteland.
