Ms. Johnson-Ball, I attended the citizen comment meeting held in Barrington IL on Aug 27, 2008 concerning the EJE purchase by CN. Sadly, the presentation and scope of the work of your organization and contractor I found to be rather lacking and disingenuous. I find you and your organization incompetent with the work you have been chartered to do. The scope of your work and the documents you have published ignore vast areas of public safety and environmental issues. The volume of issues raised during just this one meeting that were completely ignored by your organization proves with certainty your efforts to conduct the study have been rushed and findings fatally flawed. To move forward with this transaction without addressing of the issues ignored would be criminal in nature. Please check your notes, review the meeting notes with the staff you sent to the meeting, and do your homework. The issues are so large and many it would take me an entire day to articulate them all for you here. Regards, Peter Schaffer
