The Emperor's New Clothes ! For the CN acquisition, can you clearly explain in the FEIS how you reached conclusion on the number of freight trains that will utilize the EJ&E ROW as well as the conclusion that freight trains will move from the Chicago line to the new western tracks? It seems that we're all afraid to state the obvious.....CN intends to increase their business. Their website is marketing-based to attract shippers, they have invested in a new port facility and they have stockholders looking to increase profit. In fact, the STB had asked CN to provide accurate estimates for freight and CN responded that they could not forecast more than a few years out. So, the analyses performed for the DEIS are based on assumptions of little or no growth provided by CN. Doesn't their Purpose and Need imply otherwise....they are looking for closer relationships." Please have the courage to state the obvious - the analyses and true impact of this transaction will not be known until forecasts are more accurate."
