RE: Docket 35087 I live in a home that backs up to EJ&E RR tracks. Two houses north of me is the manual switch" for the double tracks.....and this is a BIG problem. We have trains sit here for sometimes 10, 15, even 20 minutes while they manually switch tracks. Many times the trains are left blocking Shoe Factory Rd while someone moves the switch (could be a big problem with Emergency Vehicles and/or busses)....sometimes at night (2 or 3am), I can hear people out there "banging" on the switch, talking, all the while the train is idling loudly, revving up and spooling down. Can't imagine how 20 trains a day are going to affect traffic on Shoe Factory, my kids getting to and from school, emergencies in my neighborhood, and anyone in my family getting a good night's sleep!!! We bought this house because we looked out onto the beautiful forest preserve, where we can see wild life and the passing of seasons (with few interruptions by passing trains, roughly 2 per day, 10 years ago). I never even got stopped at the RR Xing, until 2 years ago and I've lived here 10 years! Keep CN out, we don't need them and don't want them disrupting our lives."
