It seems ironic that on the last day to submit comments, I encountered my worst experience with the EJ&E/CN railroad. I was taking my 5 year old daughter to the emergency care center located in Lake Zurich. I was traveling on Cuba Road when my car came to a standstill behaind several other cars stopped at ehe train tracks. My daughter was bleeding and crying uncontrollably. I waited for what seemed several minutes before I realized that the train was not moving at all. It was blocking the road and I was so stressed that I had a difficult time assessing the situation. I could not turn around through Barrington as I imagined the next road, Lake Zurich Road was blocked, too. Because I was familiar with the area, I thought of an unmarked winding road that took me all around the town of Lake Zurich, reaching my destination at least 20 minutes longer than my first two options. Luckily, I did not cause an accident due to frustration and added stress and my daughter was not in a life and death situation. Therefore, please consider the everyday, as well as, life and death emergencies that would have worse outcomes. This is especially true with the significant increase in train traffic with CNs proposed schedule. Our small town will not be able to accommodate the traffic in a timely manner--lives will be lost. Lastly, ask towns like DesPlaines and Buffalo Grove why they are supporting the purchase of CN. It is because they know how awful it is for their community. If it was so wonderful having twenty trains a day go through their town, they wouldn't want CN to leave their town--and they have had years to adapt and still can't wait for them to leave! Please don't transfer the problem to an area that isn't capable of accommodating tons of traffic. Thank you.
