If it was your house that would have been affected by this approval of the EJ&E purchase, would you still consider approving it? For the past hour three trains passed our house on this EJ&E rail, each one trying to see who can make the most noise. This prompt me to write this comment. If this is just the beginning of what we can expect, you are creating additional problems for United States citizens to the advantage of a company from Canada. First, we will not be able to sell our house because who wants to live next to such noise - if you approve this sale you will directly add to the housing crisis we already have. The only difference - we were responsible with our money and did not expect that we will experience a problem like this - created by Board that has the power to prevent it. Secondly, a lack of sleep will result in higher medical bills to the country. Can you really afford the increase in health cost this is going to create for the country. At the moment I see the doctor once a year - but am sure it will not be the case once I am not able to sleep at night. It is a known fact that if you are sleep deprived your health deteriorates. Did you consider the cost of law suits due to health deteriorations if you approve this deal with Canada? As an American Citizen I do not think it is fair that Canada makes a mess and expect me to clean it up. For them to expect that my money must build overpasses so that we can maintain the comfort we have at the moment is outrageous. If you approve this bill, more than one couple will lose their house due to the fact that we will then not be able to afford the property tax bill anymore. We are at a point where we can not pay higher property tax - but that is exactly what is expect of us if we have to pay for the overpasses. PLEASE DO NOT ADD TO THE PROBLEMS THE COUNTRY IS ALREADY FACING.
