As a long time resident living with 2 miles of the E&J railroad, I must strenuously object to the railroading (pun intending) of the sale of the E&J to CN. I must cross the E&J right-of-way several times each day. There are limited over/underpasses, and with present rail traffic it becomes a problem to get where you need to go. It is a problem particularly for emergency vehicles. It is absolutely unconscionable to allow CN to buy this right-of-way and leave us, the neighbors holding the bag to pay for the additional over/under passes that will be required to accommodate the increase in traffic CN proposes. CN should do what is right and shoulder those costs themselves.
