I am writing to let you know that I strongly support CN Railroad’s proposed purchase of the EJ&E rail line. • Significant reduction in rail congestion means lower consumer cost of goods. • Overall more people will be impacted positively than negatively. • Jobs! • It will improve the environment: trains that currently idle will instead be running quickly through the Chicagoland area. • It will improve the quality of live for tens of thousands of families in the City of Chicago. We live very close to the trains; our personal circumstance is that the train line is less than ten feet from our building. There is tremendous noise, vibration, soot … generally the current freight trains are tremendously disruptive to our lives, and unhealthy to boot. Please approve this purchase. Thank you.
