Dear Ms. Johnson-Ball, I am extremely distressed that CN Railroad looks as though it will be able to trump the interests and safety of the tax paying citizens in the communities through which they have plans to greatly increase freight train traffic. In the community in which I live, Barrington, my children cross the EJ&E tracks 4 times a day on their way to and from school. Thousands of children in Barrington are in the same situation. There is no question that the increase in train traffic is going to compromise the safety of the citizens in these communities. Once again, our government will place the interests of a corporation over the safety and interests of its people. Some say folks in Barrington just don't want it in our backyard and communities like Buffalo Grove will benefit from CN. Have you really looked at the difference as to where the tracks in Buffalo Grove are versus the tracks in Barrington? There is no comparison, Barrington will be impacted to a much greater degree. I am disheartened that it appears the people in charge of our infrastructure seems undeterred by the safety of the citizens. I shouldn't be surprised based on what we see coming out of Washington. I implore you to reject CN's desire to ruin our community and to put the safety of our children at risk. Cindy Johnson
