RE: Docket #35087 As tax paying citizens of our community, we are vehemently opposed to the Canadian National Railway acquisition of the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway Company because of the adverse impact it will have on our community. Six (6) times the normal railway traffic this aquisition will bring will be devastating to us and our neighbors as it will increase Police, Fire and other emergency vehicle response times to the extent that a home may burn beyond repair or a heart attack victim may die BEFORE an emergency vehicle can reach them in time. Because we are located in an outlining area of the Chicago Metro area most of us who must commute will be impacted severely by long traffic delays due to trains taking 20 minutes to clear an intersection. The Canadian National has not provided sufficient mitigation to address these problems, therefore we look to you, our representatives, to address these concerns. Thanking you for your help.
