Please consider the extremely detrimental impact to the neighboring communities by the CN proposed acquistion of the EJ&E. Within the Barrington area alone, valid concerns expressed by the anticipated significant increaseed rail traffic and resulting noise and pollution: - homeowners living near rail lines anticipating the need to walk away from their homes without a sale if they have a need to move, - a business owner anticipating paralyzing traffic gridlock already abandoning their business near the train line and relocating away from the town - many residents seriously concerned their families may not receive medical care in a timely manner needed to save lives To sustain viable, healthy communities, reasonable access to basic and life saving services for residents, visitors and businesses is critical. The amount of initial and potential increased traffic that would occur through CN's acquisition would pose a severe threat to this access and the livelihood of its citizens. Sincerely, Stephanie Pestrak 108 E. Hillside Ave. Barrington, IL 60010
