The CN, EJ&E acquisition should not be approved. This acquisition should not be approved for the same reason the now defunct Interstate Commerce Commission specifically turned down the Santa Fe/Southern Pacific Railroad merger in 1980's due to public interest grounds" as stated by Nottingham before the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee."
