Please do not allow the EJ&E Waukegan to Joliet line to become a freight superhighway that will run through my neighborhood WITHOUT the necessary remediation efforts included in the transaction. I know the long range plans for the Chicago Metro area call for the shift of freight and intermodal activity away from the city center. I understand the need for that action. However, we are members of the Barrington community for 9 years. If we knew the area wanted to convert this low use train line to a superhighway for container freight, we would never relocated to the neighborhood. Without the necessary remediation, our home investment will be significantly and negatively affected. During this time of severe financial crisis, please do not allow the transaction in its current condition to further denigrate our future. Thank you
