As our country is working towards finding a solution to our economic crisis because short term profits superceded public good- we must listen to local communities who express real concerns for their future. Should CN be allowed to purchase the EJ&E railroad, our community among many others will suffer. Our town will literally be cut in hald, without emergency access and long traffic lines will ensue with increased railway traffic. many of our concerns and issues are never fully explained by ther CN representatives that attend our many local meetings, such as their current safety records or long term safety planning and their lack of written commitments to Metra and other impacted communities. CN projected proposals do not fully explain the long term responsibility they will commit to and our fear is that once again the burden will fall on us. PLease help and pass HR6707- public interest shows that more harm will result from this transation than the transportation benefits
