My concerns regarding the proposed CN purchase of the EJ&E rail line are with respect to the obvious effect on public safety regarding police, fire and EMT response to calls generated by persons in dire need. A second concern is concerning the negative and polluting effect of hazmat spills on the well supply of homeowners such as myself in the immediate proximity of the railline. A final issue is that the offer of CN to pay $40 million for grade crossing improvements for the 80+ critical crossings is outrageous.
