STB Finance Docket No. 35087 I'm responding to the CN proposal to acquire EJ&E. While it is my understanding there is an argument regarding the benefits to the new line for parts of the Chicago area, I also know there is an equal negative impact to the areas intersected by EJ&E. For this benefit of all communities it is necessary to fund traffic and safety measures that can reduce the increased traffic flow. Because EJ&E track system is not designed for the volume CN is planning in the next 10 years, without significant planning and investment into traffic plans the purchase will have disruptive impacts across the region. This purchase cannot go through without CN's commitment in actual dollars to the communities impacted by the train. Their profit at the loss of all communities is not acceptable. Please vote against the passing without proper funding by CN and not the US tax payers.
