The proposed acquisition of the EJ&E by CN will have an extremely negative impact on our area if it is allowed to go forward. Canadian National has an appalling safety record, and if an accident happened in this area our shallow aquifer could be easily contaminated. Also, the EJ&E intersects the 3 main roads in our area, effectively separating early responders from the hospital in the event of an emergency. Our high school and bus company are within approximately 500 ft. of the EJ&E, and the addition of 20+ freight trains per day would greatly increase the risk of an accident to our students. Please don't let the designs of a foreign company endanger so many citizens!
