I have been following this RR acquisition since the beginning and have attended several meetings. I believe the DEIS is flawed in many ways from the timeframe it took to complete this DEIS (usually takes 18mths to years to complete) to the true dollar amount this takeover will cost us tax payers. Just in District 204, traffic delays due to 3X amount of trains crossing will mess up the school districts bus routes tremendously...kids late to school/return home, parents calling concerned. Not to mention any emergency vehicles trying to save a life and or house if on fire. Where is the review of other alternatives? Where is the comfort of knowing STAR talk will really continue. All is so vague. Please DO NOT continue with this acquisition. It'll hurt more than it will help!
