As a resident in southwest Naperville, I strongly urge you to deny the acquisition of the EJ&E railroad by Canadian National. My children will attend Waubonsie Valley High School and have to cross the tracks several times a day to get to and from school. As you know increasing the number of trains as well as the number of teenagers intersecting with those trains is a formula for disaster. The RR crossings which they, as well as dozens of school buses and parents taking their children to school, are not equipped to handle the increased traffic. In addition, we live less than a mile from those tracks and already enjoy" the noise of the current trains. I can only imagine hearing three times the number of trains daily. I also am concerned about the impact on the environment as we are close enough to be affected by spills, leaks and accidents. Please, please, please do not allow this sale to go through. I can assure you my entire subdivision as well as surrounding ones hope you will make the right decision and protect our suburban neighborhoods! Thank you for your attention and have a good day."
