Please do not allow CN to purchase the EJ&E Railway. The impact on the surrounding community of where the RR crosses US 34 in Aurora would be unbelievable. My daughter's school bus crosses that RR tracks 2x day. Our school district's buses cross these tracks 164 times a day. We cross those RR tracks going east from our home to go to church, music lessons, shopping, dentist, orthodontist, and doctor's appointments. Our travel times to these places would likely increase dramatically if the number and length of trains increase as predicted. The hospital is just further west as well. I know this is a major route for ambulances traveling to this hospital. This highway is not designed for such a large amount of rail traffic that would have such a negative impact on our community. I know that the EJ&E railway crosses other roads and streets that have significant travel each day. The impact here is on quality of life and how the people in these communities will be affected so negatively as they wait and wait at these tracks for trains to cross and in the neighborhoods of the houses near these tracks as they deal with the noise and vibration if this sale is allowed. If CN is allowed to purchase the EJ&E railway, it's effect would be devestating to these communities.
