Regarding the purchase of the EJ&E railroad by CN: Our family, and many others in our neighborhood are strongly opposed to the purchase of the railroad. The minor impacts are great enough to cause us great concern, such as: more trains blowing horns at the crossing(s), gridlock at the crossings, and noise at night. However, the transportation of hazardous materials also concerns us. Finally, the effect it'll have on emergency vehicles is disturbing. My wife, parents, and in-laws travel on Gougar, Cedar, Schoolhouse, and Wolf road on a *DAILY* basis. This purchase would have huge negative effect on our lives. Furthermore, if the purchase goes through, I will most likely move to the North side, possibly out of the Lincoln-way area. (Our current plan was to build a new home out along Laraway Road.) Pleae re-consider this transaction; if it goes through, I have a feeling that it'll kill the development in South Frankfort, Mokena, and New Lenox. Regards, Michael A. Green, MBA
