I am a homeowner, and business owner residing in South Holland,IL. I am all for fewer trains and whistles. The noise is disruptive at times to my daycare business, and I also feel that the vibrations from the trains have some negative impact on my homes foundation. My major concerns with the trains are that there are always people hitching rides on the trains from outside our communities and this poses a safety issue for my children and the children in my care. Sitting on my front porch I have witnessed people robbing the trains of their cargo and after calling the police I feel unsafe because the thieves have seen me sitting on my porch and may try to retaliate.
