I would like to go record that I am opposed to the purchase of the EJ&E by the Canadian National Railroad. This purchase and the subsequent rail traffic it would bring, will seriously and adversely effect the community in which I live by creating 1)More accidents and deaths along the rail line 2)An increase in automobile traffic gridlock at rail crossings 3)Elevated pollution and noise levels 4)Dangerously longer response times of our Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Teams 5)Disruption and/or closure of local business activities 6)Adverse impact on our property values 7)Potential safety hazards for homes and schools within close proximity of the rail lines. 8) Increased delays for school bus travel Please consider all the negative economic and safety implications of this proposed sale on local business, residents, emergency responders and schools, and vote against this acquisition.
