I am strongly opposed to the proposed purchase of the EJ and E rail line by Canadian National Railroad. This would negatively impact the quality of life for residences along the railroad from Emergency Services support, bus transportation to schools and pollution (noise and air) among many other negative impacts. The GREED of the Canadian National Railroad should not take precedence over the concerns and quality of life for residences along the Rail line. The board should deny approval of rail purchases since the public costs outweigh transportation benefits.
