While regional transportation of goods is important, more important is the safety and quality of life for those whose lives would be affected by the sale of the EJ&J railroad. We need to develop infrastructure in our country to handle these transportation issues elsewhere without disrupting and risking the lives of school children, emergency vehicle responses and communities. Merely moving the trains to this line will create an entirely new set of serious economic, health and transportation issues for these communities. Please look for alternative ways to alleviate busy railways and say no to the Canadian Railway purchase of EJ & J.
