I oppose the purchase of the EJ&E by the Canadian National Railway. The proposed sale will create an increase of not only in the number of trains traveling though our community, but also in train length. This means that gate closures are anticipated to increase up to 10 minutes per train. Delays created by rail traffic will impact students arrival to school as well as their timely return home and will have a negative economic impact in our community as well.
