I oppose the purchase of the EJ and E rail line by Canadian National. I live in the area of the line, and wish you to recognize that our infrastructure and economic and residential development was based on the absence of high volume rail traffic on this line. The proposal's supporters either stand to profit from the railroad's success or live in areas which were built around their current traffic load. We should not be required to sacrifice to resolve problems they have created themselves. If the proposal is accepted, the railroad should be required to pay for mitigation of the problems it causes.
