Please approve the Canadian National's proposal to buy the EJ&E railroad. I have lived my whole life in Franklin Park and the only constant has been the massive amount of freight traffic that goes through my town. I worked for the Village of Franklin Park 5 summers and I can't tell you how many freight trains I have caught or had to go around. Whats worse is that my town is right before the railroad and the trains often stop and wait so they can proceed through it. Not only is it an inconvenience that the freight trains can block access from half the town, but the police often have to go around the trains to reach an emergency on the south side of the town. Any decrease in freight traffic would improve the quality of life in Franklin Park.
