I am writing concerning CN's purchase of the EJ&E Railway. I hope that you will not permit this purchase to be finalized. Our area already sees much rail traffic and most of our crossing are at grade level. The infrustructure in this area is already overloaded due to the massive population growth in the last 15 years and further stressing the system would not be a wise decision. As the environmental and oil crisis encourage commuters to use more mass transportation, this acquisition would cause conflict with passenger trains vying for track and crossing position. Traffic delays, difficulty getting emergency services to locations, crossing safety, the impact on neighborhoods full of children and elderly are decision factors in all communities. I would like to impress upon you however, that Joliet already carries more than it's share of the transportation burden. Please consider voting no to this purchase by CN. Thank you. Sharon Stukel
