i wish to comment on proposed sale of eje rail sale to canandian national environmental impact. (stbfinance docket 35087) the cn must not be allowed to purchase the line, due to high probability of hazmat spills that may occur due to increased volume of rail traffic that they are planning to implement. i live in a community of 55+ individuals that is within 0.5 to 1 mile of the proposed rail lines. the cn has filed suit in appeals court to have the purchase approved before the environmental impact study is completed. this should not be allowed. i encourage you to fight this infringement on public safety for the good of all the communities involved and near to these lines. cn should also assume the costs of mitigation for the crossings and lines improvements that will be necessary should the sale proceed. thank you arlene m. grimes
