Dear Ms Johnson-Ball, As a resident and teacher in the Barrington area I am scared to death of the possible CN invasion" of our area. I know you have heard all the reasons but the disruption of the RTA schedule, which will become a most likely probability, only adds to the complications that exist. Emergency, service and school transportation are familiar with and work around a consistent Metra schedule. These CN delays to Metra will put all transportation and crossing up for grabs. Mark our word, if this goes through, the news will never end about the far reaching complications that will occur. There will be no one at STB who can claim ignorance on any issues resulting from this disaster. Truly responsibility of home, business and human life will be a direct result of those people on STB who okay this deal. The buck cannot be passed among any of you. The worst thing is that if it does go through, there are no controls, no way, when everyone sees it won't work, to reverse the decision. Like the greedy crumbling insurance companies that made big bucks for those at top and in control, the CN will make all the profits as the ones truly affected suffer greatly. Also we the tax paper, who are not part of their profits will be responsible for the cost of their mistakes. There is no government bailout for this misuse of power. Help Us Please."
